Weekly wacky Coulter quote

With Wednesday comes the weekly wacky and discriminatory quote from the queen of hate Ann Coulter, as her scheduled appearance at Cleary University’s Economic Club Speakers Luncheon Series approaches.

Apparently, the Executive Board of Trustees for the University is meeting later this month to talk about her appearance, and we need to help them make the right decision.

This week we get a double does of Coulter’s brand of the kind of freedom she supports.

"I think there should be a literacy test and a poll tax for people to vote."---Hannity & Colmes, 8/17/99

"I think [women] should be armed but should not [be allowed to] vote."---Politically Incorrect, 2/26/01

If she believes women shouldn't vote than why is she talking about politics then? After all voting has to deal with knowing something about politics. Or is this a hint she's giving that we were right about her being you know a man

Miss Coulter should be fired as Imus in the morning radio host just was. Miss Coulter is quite the pot stirrer of all things rude and crude. People don't always have to agree with each other but, free exchange of ideas in a genteel manner is nice and a contemplative way to discuss and persuade.

Ann Coulter is a genius, and someday you will all realize it. Hopefully, it won't be too late.
Vote Republican; most people know that they're the right party for the important jobs in this country.

Ann Coulter a genius? You are funnier than she is. But perhaps she was right in this case: maybe a woman should not be allowed to vote. If they are informed as you are then perhaps she has a point.

“Most people know that they're the right party for the important jobs in this country.” I guess that’s why the Democrats control the U.S. House and Senate.

That was a fluke and will never happen again. All the Democrats do is snipe and relentlessly investigate Republicans; they have not accomplished anything yet and will not.
Lazy Democrats will not get out and vote two elections in a row. They're too busy looking for a free handout.
The GOP will take back control in the next election, and rightfully so. Only they can lead this country in the right direction, which includes our strong presence in Iraq for many years to come in order to fight the enemies of the United States.
Democrats are cowards and defeatists.

So is this “Vicky” making this ridiculous attack or some new nameless troll?
No matter; there’s no real difference anyway. You keep on believing it’s a fluke. As for not accomplishing anything, how about implementing the recommendations of the nonpartisan 9/11 commission, raising the minimum wage, halving the interest rate on college student loans, rolling back subsidies to big oil companies, stopping any privatization of Social Security and authorizing the federal government to negotiate lower drug prices for Medicare. That’s just in the first 100 hours. As for investigating republicans, it’s something that’s badly needed. There has been absolutely no oversight of the Bush Administration, and judging by all of the scandals it shows how badly needed and how much they have run wild and roughshod over the Constitution. Anyone who dared do their job, not matter how partisan a Republican you were or how loyal you were, you were fired if you dared to try and hold a Republican accountable for his illegal acts. Just look at the U.S. attorney firings for an example of that.

“Our strong presence in Iraq for many years to come.” That will be news to the many people who were swindled by the idea that his “invasion” would be quick and paid for by the Iraqis just long enough to destroy the WMD that were an immediate threat to our security. You are aware that Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism?

“Democrats are cowards and defeatists.” That’s another slur not based on any find of fact, and now I know why you’re such a fan of the hatemonger Ann Coulter.

C.G. wrote "authorizing the federal government to negotiate lower drug prices for Medicare."
....Sorry C.G., but that's not happening. Privatizing has lowered drug prices about as low as they'll get. They're at rock bottom price now, thanks to the GOP.
Thank God the Republicans put a stop to this latest Democratic nonsense in the Senate. The Democrats will only get the prices raised and mess everything up like they always do.

Really. Are you saying the VA is not getting a better prices for drugs by buying in bulk? Then show me some proof of these claims you are making, and what have the Republicans put a stop to?

Drug prices are “at rock bottom price now.” You must be a little out of touch.

Strike that. I know what the Republicans put a stop to. Although the majority in the Senate wanted to save seniors money on prescription drugs, 55-42, it wasn’t enough to bring the bill to a vote.
Again the Republic Party stands with big drug companies making millions of dollars against seniors on fixed incomes trying afford life-saving drugs.
Like Edward Coyle, executive director of the Alliance for Retired Americans, said
“This is the moment of truth for senators and for President Bush: Do they stand with retirees struggling to afford their drugs, or do they stand with the big drug companies who want to keep fleecing American seniors?” We now know the answer.

Perhaps you should tell Mr. Coyle that drugs are at the rock bottom price now. After all, how would he know that; he deals with retired people all day.
