Come out and enjoy a scary movie with the Livco Democrats

Come out and enjoy another informative, scary and factual film from Academy Award winning filmmaker Michael Moore this Friday with the Livingston County Democratic Party.

The party will show the movie “Capitalism: A Love Story” at 7 p.m. Friday, June 4, at party headquarters, 10321 Grand River Road, Suite 600, Brighton. An ice cream social -- featuring ice cream and all the trimmings -- will follow. Suggested donation is $10 per person or $15 for two.

On the 20-year anniversary of his Moore’s groundbreaking masterpiece "Roger & Me," Michael Moore's "Capitalism: A Love Story" comes home to the issue he's been examining throughout his career: the disastrous impact of corporate dominance on the everyday lives of Americans. But this time the culprit is much bigger than General Motors, and the crime scene is far wider than his hometown of Flint, Mich.

Come out and enjoy some good fellowship, ice cream and learn about credit default swaps, derivatives and why the global financial system collapsed under George Bush.
