Irrational hatred of the President leads to violence

I thought I had seen the height of hatred and the quest to get someone at any cost with the election of President Bill Clinton in 1992, but the election of President Obama has unleashed unprecedented levels of insane hatred.

The irrational hated is even more then the blatant racism that we are getting from the birthers, the deathers, the 10thers and the tea baggers. Recently I read the book “The Brothers Reuther and the Story of the UAW” by Victor G. Reuther. Both he and his brother Walter experienced a little of that hatred.

Both survived assassination attempts, and the assassins was never brought to justice. However, in the book I came across an excerpt from a 1961 speech by President John F. Kennedy where he talked about hatemongers. He experienced his share of death threats and hatred, and we know what it led to.

In critical periods there have always been those on the fringe of our society who have sought to escape their own responsibility by finding a simple solution, an appealing solution or a convenient scapegoat…They look suspiciously at their neighbors and their leader. They call for a “man on horseback” because they do not trust the people. They find treason in our churches, in our highest court…They equate the Democratic Party with the welfare state, the welfare state with socialism, socialism with communism. Let our patriotism be reflected in the creation of confidence in one another, rather than in crusades of suspicion - above all, let us remember, however serious the outlook, however harsh the task, the one great irreversible trend in history of world is on the side of liberty.

I have not seen this level of hatred and anti-government rhetoric since the mid-1990’s, but that ended with the indictment of Timothy McVeigh for the bombing of the Oklahoma City federal building back in 1995. How many people have to be killed and injured because of the hatred whipped up by the likes of limbaugh, beck, malkin and coulter?

The Michigan Militia is back.

The tea baggers are even going after children. You will recall the New Jersey elementary school kids who sang a song during Black History Month celebrating the election of the first black U.S. President. The school received death threats, and even a school that had a similar sounding name received death threats.

Imagine, celebrating a U.S. President. Talk about indoctrination. Don’t we have a holiday in February celebrating Presidents? If you want to see indoctrination, check out this worship of George Bush.

Let’s hope this irrational hatred ends before it’s ended with an event like the Oklahoma City bombing.

This would be unbelievable if it were written by anyone but you. You're actually advocating for the hatred of Obama.

I find it comical that you'd compare supposed assassination attempts on the Reuthers with that of the President. By the way, the assassins could never be caught because there were no assassins. They didn't succeed. The best you can call them is "would be" assassins.

Timothy McVeigh was never proven to be part of a larger group or conspiracy to blow up the Murrah Building. In fact, he and Nichols were the only two convicted and there was only one other suspect, who was thought to be of middle eastern descent, but never found or proven.

The murder of a US Census worker is not classified as a murder yet. Even in the story you link to, they don't know if it's suicide, or a murder and if it's murder, they then have to figure out if it was because of his job or not. Again, that information is in the story you linked to but that you conveniently left out of your comments.

You also attribute the death of the census worker to Right wingers, when in fact, there is no proof yet the guy was murdered, let alone a politically motivated murder.

You talk abou the New Jersey school singing Obama's praises in February and claim there were death threats to not only that school but another with a similar or the same name. This was debunked by the Raw Story. There is no proof of death threats. As for indoctrination of the children, it sure sounds like indoctrination to me. Especially since the liberals were saying the same thing when a school in Louisiana did the same thing for Bush following Hurricane Katrina.

Are there crackpots out there that would love to make a name for themselves by attempting to harm a government official? You bet. Hell, there is a crackpot that writes this blog.

But where was your outrage when the movie came out advocating the assassination of President Bush? But then, you probably don't consider that hatred. You're likely to consider that justifiable.

Nobody in their right mind would want to see anything bad happen to Obama. If we lose him during the next three years, we end up with a President Biden and as much as Obama is a fascist, Biden would be even worse. It's bad enough we've got an incompetent boob in the White House. We do not need him replaced with a jackass.

Again, can you read? I’m advocating for the hatred of Obama? How, by pointing it out? Get real.

I didn’t compare the assassination attempts on the Reuthers with that of President Kennedy. “The assassins could never be caught because there were no assassins?” What The hell does that mean? No one was prosecuted for the assassination attempt.

I never said Timothy McVeigh was part of a larger group or conspiracy. However, he was once a member of the Militia, and he was influenced by all that anti-government crap.

“The murder of a US Census worker is not classified as a murder yet?” You’re right it was a murder. A suicide? Please. I can also point out many more examples of violence by rightwing tools if you don‘t like that one.

This is from Fox “news” “The tension at B. Bernice Young Elementary School escalated to such a degree Thursday that the school was placed temporarily on lockdown after its principal received death threats over a YouTube video that showed nearly 20 children being taught songs lauding the president.”
http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/09/24/elementary-school-students-reportedly-taught-songs-praising-president-obama/

Of course it sounds like indoctrination to you, but it was part of a celebration of Black History Month.

Where was my outrage when the movie came out advocating the assassination of President Bush? A couple of reasons. First, there was no movie advocating the assassination of Bush. Second, no liberal has gone out and committed an act of violence egged on by a talk show host like conservatives have.

I agree, “nobody in their right mind would want to see anything bad happen to Obama. You need to go a “tea party” and see the hatred there. There few people there in their right mind.

Obama is a fascist? Are you serious? Obviously, you have no idea what that word means. The incompetent boob in the White House left in January.

If you read your own sources, you'll see that Fox did say that, but then when they re-ran the story as day went on, they didn't talk about the death threats because they didn't happen. Again, read your own sources. They even mention in there about the site "Raw Story" where they caught Fox putting out information that was in error. But, you conveniently left that part out.

The census worker is dead. He was hanged. But they don't have any evidence it was murder. They don't know if it was murder or suicide and if it was murder, they don't know if it was related to his job or not. Again, that's using your source that you put out there.

A dead guy hanging from a tree doesn't mean murder. It means he's dead. NObody knows if it was by his own hand or someone elses. Unless you intend to say that even if he killed himself it's still murder because he committed the murder on himself.

You really have a problem with the truth there. You prove it everytime you type.

I reread the source, and no where did I find a retraction of the death threats. I don’t consider fox a news source, but when they fail to take a shot at Democrats or the Pre4sident it’s news. If they could have smeared the president they would have. That makes the death threats reference even more believable.

As for the murder of the census worker, in the source I provided it also says,
“Lucindia Scurry-Johnson, assistant director of the Census Bureau's southern office in Charlotte, N.C., said law enforcement officers have told the agency the matter is "an apparent homicide" but nothing else.”

From an Oct. 6 AP story, “A family visiting a Clay County cemetery found Bill Sparkman on Sept. 12 with a rope around his neck and his hands and feet duct-taped. The coroner confirmed the word "fed" was written on his chest, apparently in felt-tip pen.” It’s a little hard to commit suicide with your hands and feet duct taped.

The problem with your false claim that I have a problem with the truth masks no sense because you have never proved I lied. Lots of accusation but nothing else.

This is from YOUR source in your blog:

WASHINGTON — The FBI is investigating the hanging death of a U.S. Census worker near a Kentucky cemetery, and a law enforcement official told The Associated Press the word 'fed" was scrawled on the dead man's chest.

The body of Bill Sparkman, a 51-year-old part-time Census field worker and occasional teacher, was found Sept. 12 in a remote patch of the Daniel Boone National Forest in rural southeast Kentucky. The Census has suspended door-to-door interviews in rural Clay County, where the body was found, pending the outcome of the investigation.

Investigators are still trying to determine whether the death was a killing or a suicide, and if a killing, whether the motive was related to his government job or to anti-government sentiment.

Investigators have said little about the case. The law enforcement official, who was not authorized to discuss the case and requested anonymity, said Wednesday the man was found hanging from a tree and the word "fed" was written on the dead man's chest. The official did not say what type of instrument was used to write the word.

-------------

Notice the last two paragraphs. What was used to write fed? "the official did not say".

Was the death a murder? "Investigators are still trying to determine whether the death was a killing or a suicide,..."

And then you said "The recent murder of a U.S. Census worker is just one in a long line of violence perpetrated by right-wingers."

In other words, you have shit for brains.

Thanks for the compliment, anonymous, coming from the likes of you it means a lot.

From my source,

“A family visiting a Clay County cemetery found Bill Sparkman on Sept. 12 with a rope around his neck and his hands and feet duct-taped. The coroner confirmed the word "fed" was written on his chest, apparently in felt-tip pen.”

Please explain to my how you write on your forehead and commit suicide with your hands and feet bound. Like I said, even if this wasn’t a murder caused by the likes of beck, malkin and limpdick, I can give plenty more examples of violence from rightwing extremists.

CORRECTION
“A Kentucky census worker found naked, bound with duct tape and hanging from a tree with "fed" scrawled on his chest killed himself but staged his death to make it look like a homicide, authorities said Tuesday.”

I was wrong.
