New RNC Chair wants to forget about the Bush years

Anyone who has seen new RNC Chair Michael Steele's frequent appearances on the Fox "News" channel know how petty, hostile and dishonest he is, so it was no surprise to see the latest email to the party faithful on the American Recovery and Investment Act.

He quotes President Obama's Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel as saying "You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what Imean (sic) by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before." I was sure it was taken it out of context, and I was right. It was hard to find the original quote because I had to wade through thousands of rightwing sites to find the correct quote. The rest of the quote is "What used to be long-term problems, be they in the health care area, energy area, education area — things ... that were long-term are now immediate and must be dealt with."

But the most amazing thing is Steele has forgotten about the last eight years. I understand how the GOP wants to forgot about the last eight years. Hell, I don't blame then, and I want to forget about them too. But he forgot how Bush used the national tragedy of 9/11 to justify almost every single policy they wanted to accomplish; from the so-called Patriot Act and torture to an unnecessary war.

He used the deaths of 3,000 people to sell an unnecessary war to the American people that led to the deaths of more than 4,000 U.S. Servicemen and Woman, and no one knows how many Iraqi civilians.

Then we get this lie from Steele, "They have taken advantage of our nation's present economic woes to ram through Congress the biggest spending bill in American history."

He forgot about the Iraq war again, and that is the "biggest spending bill in American history." When all is said and done, it will cost taxpayers more than $3 trillion. Just think what kind of stimulus that would mean to the United States economy if it was spent in the U.S. That's a far cry from the Bush lie that the Iraq oil money will pay for the war.

He then goes on to attack the President for not being bipartisan; saying: "…who talked so much about a new era of bipartisanship and cooperation on the campaign trail, didn't take long to throw that rhetoric out the window to support Nancy Pelosi's liberal spending spree."

The old proverb that "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink" applies here. The President has tried to involve the Republicans in the process, but they do not want to be part of the solution. I say fine; if they want to continue to be obstructionists, that's fine with me. The American people saw through that during the last election, and that's why Democrats have the majority.

Update: Steele is carrying on the GOP culture of corruption. He is under investigation by the FBI for making more than $37,000 in improper payments to his sister's defunct company from campaigns funds from his failed 2006 Senate campaign. According to the Washington Post, campaign records indicate that $37,262 was paid to Brown Sugar Unlimited covered catering and Web services, but it came 11 months after his sister had legally dissolved the company. The charges came to light after a once-wealthy GOP fundraiser, who was finance chairman for Steele's Senate run, made the claims last year during plea negotiations with the U.S. attorney's office in Maryland after he was charged with orchestrating multimillion-dollar frauds unrelated to the campaign, according to a confidential court document.

I see your party just pissed away a trillion bucks. Had to ram the vote thru the house so Pelosi could go on a tax payer junket to Rome. What happened to the Democrat promise to have a bill on the web for 48 hours before a floor vote. Is it not odd the K Street lobbyists had a copy of the bill before the American public. And this is Change, this is what we are suppose to Hope for.

Well, I don’t. You can’t possibly mean the economic stimulus bill, hate America? Rammed it through? How do you reach that ridclious conclusion? The president is reaching out to Republicans to try and include them in the process to fix the mess they created, but they would rather be obstructionists. They are taking the lead of their leader, Limpdick, and hoping the President, and the country, fails. I say screw the Republicans. We do need to “ram bill through.” The American people gave Democrats a majority for a reason.

I have no idea what happened to the “Democrat promise to have a bill on the web for 48 hours before a floor vote” because I have never heard of such a thing, other than the official legislative web site. That’s a nonpartisan site. Well, I don’t. You can’t possibly mean the economic stimulus bill, hate America? Rammed it through? How do you reach that ridclious conclusion? That a boy. Plead ignorance to something that's been all over the news for a week. The House passed a rule giving 48 hours for all to read a bill. The President said on November 14, 2007 that he wanted a bill on the internet for five days before he would sign it.

I like it that you ignored Hate's other comment about the lobbyists getting the bill before even the congressmen received it.

You probably will claim that you didn't know that the Census responsibility was moved from the Commerce Dept to Rahm Emmanuel at the White House.

The Democrat Party is dead. We now have a socialist government.

Communications guru said...

Sorry, I have not seen this alleged rule. As for lobbyists getting the bill before the Congressman, so what? If its true, printing of bills is not handled by the President. Besides, the only place I have heard that claim is from hate America, you and Lou Dobbs. All have credibility problems. I noticed you ignored every comment I made in the main post.

Correct, I didn’t hear “Census responsibility was moved from the Commerce Dept to Rahm Emmanuel at the White House.” Guess what? I don’t care, either.

Neither party is dead, but the Republic party is on life support and bankrupt of ideas. To say we are a socialist government is just stupid and false.

Now, crawl back under your rock.

Rep. Xavier Becerra - "What our Republican colleagues don't understand is that they just voted against the largest tax cut for middle class families in the history of our country." Welcome to the wilderness for the next 40 years GOP - again.
I love this quote, I paste it anywhere it is remotely appropriate.

You don't plead ignorance you are ignorant.

The mess they(GOP) created. That is a good one Guru. The Dem's had nothing to do with the housing mess that is the root cause of the current economic crisis. Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, they had nothing to do with it.

How could a member of Congress vote on a 1100 page bill for 1 Trillon dollars and not even know what they are voting for. Totally irresponsible.

bluzie said...

They had the bill for over a week, all they had to read the changes!
They all have staff who should be able to go over this bill and see the changes.
Sorry excuse for not voting for a bill our country needs!
The Republicans will have a tough time in 2010.
And they deserve to have a tough time. We will all hear now how they really wanted to vote yes but it was someone elses fault they followed Rush Limbaugh!
Silliness, sheer silliness on the part of Republicans.

Well thank you, hate America. Coming from a genius like you, that’s a compliment. Yes, the mess the republic party created. You are correct, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd had nothing to do with it.

The republicans also voted on a 1100 page bill. The $1 trillion is a gop talking point. This was a conference report they were voting on, hate America. Go look that up before you look even dumber.

Here are the facts. The House voted on the bill over a week ago. Not one Republican voted for it and 11 Democrats voted against it. It still passed.

The Senate debated it, changed it and then got Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe (both Senators from Maine), and Arlen Spector from Pennsylvania to make changes and they voted on it. The got 61 votes, but only with three Republican crossovers.

They then had to reconcile the two. Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid got together without any Republicans and then came out. Reid announced they had a deal. Pelosi was irate. Thursday, they had to make sure that they still had the three so-called Republicans. They did on Thursday night.

The Democrats had passed a rule that there would be no vote on any bill until it had been in the Representatives hands for 48 hours. The bill was printed and finally distributed at 11:00 pm to lobbyists. Representatives got it a little after midnight. They did not have time to read it before the vote the next day. The complaint was that nobody had time to read it. It was admitted by Repulbicans and Democrats alike that they didn't have time to read the bill. But they voted anyway and it passed the HOuse. Zero Republicans voted for it and 7 Demcorats voted against it.

The Senate voted later on Friday, but the same complaint. They didn't have time to read it. It passed with just 60 votes this time. Still the same three Republicans, and all of the Democrats. But they had to hold the vote open for about five hours waiting for Senator Brown to get back from Ohio where his mother had just died. He was the 60th vote.

It wasn't a conference "report". It was the bill that came out of the conference. The final bill.

It is not the largest tax cut in history. It's $13.00 per week beginning in June. It decreases to $8.00 at the end of the year.

At the end of 2010 taxes will increase substantially.

This is over $1 Trillion is spending. The bill is $780 Billion but after you add the interest to it, it will be approximately $1.2 Trillion (and that is the low side estimate).

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) says that this bill is not and will not stimulate the economy. It's a pork laden spending bill that does not create or save jobs.

It is ironic that economic numbers came out for January and they were improved. The bill hadn't even been ironed out yet and the economy was already starting to improve. But it probably won't last because alot of the growth in January was attributed to the great deals put out following Christmas.

A downturn is expected for February and again for March. Much of the spending in this bill that is slated for "jobs" is not spent until next year. That's the word of the Democrats and the CBO. For a stimulus package that Obama and otehrs say is needed immediately, this doesn't cut it. Not when the larger portion of the spending doesn't take place until next year.

It does however, require rationed health care for the elderly. There is also pork put in by Nancy Pelosi. Approximately $30 million for some mouse that lives in her district. There is also pork for Harry Reid which is a large amount of money for a railway between Nevada and California.

Not to be outdone, there is $6.5 Billion for Arlen Spector for some health study. Spector has cancer, so he loaded it with cancer dollars.

They also added back in the STD money which Susan Collins had pulled out, along with money for schools that will reach the schools in 2011. Collins had that removed, but it was put back in by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi.

These are just a couple of the items that have nothing to do with stimulus.

You may think that this will put the Republicans in the wilderness for another 40 years, but it's my belief that the socialist Democrats just gave the Republicans a golden opportunity to reclaim the House and Senate in 2010. All the Republicans have to do is make sure that they lay out what's in this plan and who put what in.

The American people voted in the Democrats in 2006 because the Republicans had spent like Democrats and Bush didn't veto even one of their budgets. Too much spending did them in.

Now, the socialist Democrats just took the national debt and added 1/10 more to it. At this rate, they will have doubled the debt by October. This will give the Republicans their best opportunity to take back the House and Senate in two years. All they have to do is put their message together and then stick to it.

By the way, Christopher Dodd is currently under investigation for his role in the housing market failure.

The "mess" was not created by Republicans alone. I will remind you that in September when this all came to a head, it was Barney Frank and the other socialist Democrats that said they would require regulations and oversight on the $700 billion bailout. $350 billion was given out and there was no oversight. In fact, they lost $78 Billion as reported in the Hearing last week.

This crisis began as a result of several things. Number one was Community Reinvestment Act back in 1978 where lending institutions were required to start lending to people that couldn't afford to pay the loans back. It did do some good. Out of every ten loans, three took responsibility for their new homes and worked hard to pay their loans. In that 30%, they were successful. That act actually created responsible homeowners. However, 70% did not. 7 of 10 that received loans that they shouldn't have received lost their homes because they didn't pay their mortgages. The lending companies had to eat those losses.

This was increased with more lax rules in 1995 when the Clinton administration required that they do more to get more unqualified people into homes. The successful percentages dropped. The unsuccessful percentages increased.

George Bush was elected in 2000 and took over in 2001. He warned in 2003, 2004 and 2005, that if the housing situation wasn't dealt with soon, that there would come a day of reckoning. On the other hand, he also did not reign in the spending proposed by the Republicans who owned both Houses of Congress. This exacerbated the bubble. The economy was growing, people had jobs (under 5% unemployment from 2002 until 2007) and money was flowing freely. Property values increased at record rates. Housing prices followed suit.

Remember, 5% unemployment is considered full employment. We were at 4.5%.

But then, on September 18, they noticed that there was a run on money being removed from money market funds. It still has not been reported who was taking this money, but over $550 million was removed from money markets and if they didn't do something, that number would increase to $5.5 Billion. The market would not be able to sustain that loss.

There are some very dangerous things happening right now. First, this "stimulus" bill was passed. We are now going to borrow $1.2 trillion and put that on the backs of our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The ONLY good thing about this is that it's not going into the economy immediately, even though that's what Obama keeps saying is needed. Because the bulk of this money isn't going to be used right away, we may avoid inflation or at least steep inflation until mid 2010.

The second thing, and this is possibly even worse than
the so-called "stimulus" bill, is that the government is now printing more money. This will devalue the dollar. It will also increase inflation.

Hopefully, this will be delayed until mid 2010, but it wouldn't surprise me if we start getting hit with inflation before the end of this year.

The inflation that we'll suffer through will be the worst since the Carter years from 76-80. We had double digit unemployment. Inflation was double digit. Remember 19% interest rates? We could see those again very soon.

What saved us then was that Ronald Reagan cut the upper tax rate from 70% to 28%. By late 1982 we finally started seeing signs that rates were dropping and the hardest recession we'd had since the late 30's, when we actually went into a second depression, was coming to an end. Reagan's actions created the longest sustained growth in the economy.

The action taken by the socialist Democrats this week could turn out to be devastating to this country's economic well being. I'm hoping that the market system that does still remain in place will beat back the worst of what this bill will cause. If that happens, we'll just have a very hard recession rather than a depression. On the other hand, the actions of the Socialist Democrats should help the Republicans in 2010. You really should hope that it does. If the Republicans are able to retake both Houses of Congress with substantial numbers to the point where Obama will have to go along with them, they could actually save Obama's presidency. If not, you can look for Obama to be a one term President.

I would prefer that the Republicans take back the Congress and solve this problem by undoing the outrageous spending of the Socialist Democrats, because that would save this country from a severe recession and possibly a depression. If that means that Obama gets credit and lasts another four year term, so be it. I'd much prefer the country be saved than worry about whether or not Obama hangs around four more years.

I am under no illusions that you'll agree with me on this. You socialist liberals are like the monkeys. See no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil of other Socialist Democrats. I don't really care if you agree or not. The facts are out there. You only need to get enough guts to look for them, analyze them and them and then consider the facts objectively. I don't believe that you can do that. You prove that with every response that you all give to anything that dares suggest that Socialist Democrats might have something wrong. As for what I say will happen in the future (the next couple of years), you cannot fathom how much I hope that you're right and I'm wrong. Because if I'm wrong, and you're right, then this country will be in much better shape. Unfortunately, history is not on your side with this. So if I am correct about inflation and the state of the economy over the next 18 to 24 months, the American people are in for a world of hurt which most in this country have never seen, let alone had to live through before.

You may now begin with your namecalling.

This Article explains what is about to happen to our country. A small piece.

As the Obama administration pushes through Congress its $800 billion deficit-spending economic stimulus plan, the American public is largely unaware that the true deficit of the federal government already is measured in trillions of dollars, and in fact its $65.5 trillion in total obligations exceeds the gross domestic product of the world.

The total U.S. obligations, including Social Security and Medicare benefits to be paid in the future, effectively have placed the U.S. government in bankruptcy, even before new continuing social welfare obligation embedded in the massive spending plan are taken into account.

The real 2008 federal budget deficit was $5.1 trillion, not the $455 billion previously reported by the Congressional Budget Office, according to the "2008 Financial Report of the United States Government" as released by the U.S. Department of Treasury.

What the Socialist Democrats have done in essence is to take their Visa card and pay off the Master Card.

Barrys own liberal supporters are not feeling all that confident either. Paul Krugman, the 2008 Nobel prize-winning economist, declared that Obama’s stimulus victory “feels more than a bit like defeat”.

Krugman added: “I’ve got a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach – a feeling that America just isn’t rising to the greatest economic challenge in 70 years.”

Also in this "Stimulus Bill" is a provision out of Tom Daschles play book.

It means that if your parents get sick and the chances of a recover are slim, the medical procurer will not be "Cost Effective" and they will be sent home to die.

How to you like that Bluzie?

Kiss you parents good bye Bluzie, this is what you voted for.

The old saying is " Be carefull what you wish for you just might get it" How True.

Do you think you Democratic representatives read and understood that part?

Parts of the a article, the total article is below.

Daschle says health-care reform “will not be pain free.” Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. That means the elderly will bear the brunt. Medicare now pays for treatments deemed safe and effective. The stimulus bill would change that and apply a cost- effectiveness standard set by the Federal Council (464).”

That means if your parents surgery is deemed to expensive by some Government desk jockey they will just sent your parent home to die.

Ruin Your Health With the Obama Stimulus Plan: Betsy McCaughey

Commentary by Betsy McCaughey

Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) — Republican Senators are questioning whether President Barack Obama’s stimulus bill contains the right mix of tax breaks and cash infusions to jump-start the economy.

Tragically, no one from either party is objecting to the health provisions slipped in without discussion. These provisions reflect the handiwork of Tom Daschle, until recently the nominee to head the Health and Human Services Department.

Senators should read these provisions and vote against them because they are dangerous to your health. (Page numbers refer to H.R. 1 EH, pdf version).

The bill’s health rules will affect “every individual in the United States” (445, 454, 479). Your medical treatments will be tracked electronically by a federal system. Having electronic medical records at your fingertips, easily transferred to a hospital, is beneficial. It will help avoid duplicate tests and errors.

But the bill goes further. One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and “guide” your doctor’s decisions (442, 446). These provisions in the stimulus bill are virtually identical to what Daschle prescribed in his 2008 book, “Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis.” According to Daschle, doctors have to give up autonomy and “learn to operate less like solo practitioners.”

Keeping doctors informed of the newest medical findings is important, but enforcing uniformity goes too far.

MORE

I urge you to read the whole piece to learn about what Daschle has left behind even though he ws dropped as the nominee for HHS. McCaughey Ross includes the specific pages in Daschles’ book that will send chills down your spine. Bill Clinton began the discussion of keeping medical records by “electronic” means as a cost-saving measure; and it’s back on steroids as a hidden monster in this bill. Read how all this follows the model of what has happened in the U.K. and the ramifications, including this example:

In 2006, a U.K. health board decreed that elderly patients with macular degeneration had to wait until they went blind in one eye before they could get a costly new drug to save the other eye. It took almost three years of public protests before the board reversed its decision.

Some key points in McCaughey Ross’ essay:

* “Hospitals and doctors that are not “meaningful users” of the new system will face penalties”
* “The vagueness is intentional. In his book, Daschle proposed an appointed body with vast powers to make the “tough” decisions elected politicians won’t make. The stimulus bill does that, and calls it the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research (190-192). The goal, Daschle’s book explained, is to slow the development and use of new medications and technologies because they are driving up costs.”
* “Daschle says health-care reform “will not be pain free.” Seniors should be more accepting of the conditions that come with age instead of treating them. That means the elderly will bear the brunt. Medicare now pays for treatments deemed safe and effective. The stimulus bill would change that and apply a cost- effectiveness standard set by the Federal Council (464).”
* “Hidden Provisions: If the Obama administration’s economic stimulus bill passes the Senate in its current form, seniors in the U.S. will face similar rationing. Defenders of the system say that individuals benefit in younger years and sacrifice later. The stimulus bill will affect every part of health care, from medical and nursing education, to how patients are treated and how much hospitals get paid. The bill allocates more funding for this bureaucracy than for the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force combined (90-92, 174-177, 181). Hiding health legislation in a stimulus bill is intentional.“

So why bother to even have a discussion?

The following is how Frank Rich today of the New York Times summed up the Republican's future. I happen to agree with him.

Republicans will also be judged by the voters. If they want to obstruct and filibuster while the economy is in free fall, the president should call their bluff and let them go at it. In the first four years after F.D.R. took over from Hoover, the already decimated ranks of Republicans in Congress fell from 36 to 16 in the Senate and from 117 to 88 in the House. The G.O.P. is so insistent that the New Deal was a mirage it may well have convinced itself that its own sorry record back then didn’t happen either.

Not Anonymous said...

I don't remember one person saying that the New Deal was a mirage. I googled it and can't find where anyone says that the New Deal was a mirage.

Facts are terrible things. The market crashed in 1929. That was followed by the depression. The New Deal under FDR was 1934 and in 1937 we went back into another depression.

From the time the depression started throughout the thirties, nothing that FDR did brought the country back. We did have some economic recovery, but then we slid back into another depression in 1937. How did that new deal work again?

What brought us out of the depression was World War II. None of FDR's plots and plans got us out of it. In fact, it was the Japanese that brought us out of it by bombing Pearl Harbor and dragging us into the war. Now, if you still want to give credit to FDR for the depression coming to an end, then you'd have to believe that he knew about the coming attack on Pearl Harbor and let it happen. Personally, I don't believe that he knew in advance, but if that's the road you choose to take, then I'd have to wonder what's in store for us if you want the same type of thing to happen. Will Obama allow terrorists to attack us again to attempt to bring us out of this economic mess?

If you don't see how ridiculous that argument is, then there is no hope for you.

I don't think the Socialist Democrats want us to come out of this economic problem. The longer we are in it, the more dependent on government he can make us. That is what the Socialist Democrats want. Cradle to grave dependence on government.

It's never worked before, and it won't work this time.

You are right about one thing, although you didn't go far enough. You said Republicans will be judged by the voters. Your only mistake in that sentence is "Republicans". It should actually say "Senators, Representatives and the President will be judged by the voters.

You could turn out to be correct. The Socialist Democrats could actually increase their numbers. Again, using history as an example, look at Michigan. Granholm was elected. We went into a one state recession and have remained their for over five years. After four years, the voters in Michigan had a choice. They could choose the Republican nominee for Governor or they could turn around and say "thank you Jenny for screwing us for four years. Will you please do it to us again for another four years?" The people of Michigan got their wish.

History is a funny thing. You can learn from it and improve what's happened in the past, or you can repeat it and even repeat it on a grander scale and make matters worse.

At this time, the American people have chosen to repeat the past and make matters worse. Unfortunately, they didn't have much of a choice. They could have chosen the liberal John McCain or they could have chosen the Socialist Barack Obama. Despite being warned of Obama's socialism that he revealed when talking with Joe the Plumber outside of Joe's house, 52% of the American voters chose socialism.

Think about this. We are depending on people to handle the nations money in a responsible way. Yet these same people, can't count by ones during elections. You use the election of 2000 as an example. I'll use that election, plus the one in 2004 (all of the problems with counting the votes and voter fraud that was caught in 2004) and then it happened again in 2006 and now it's happening again in 2008 with the Minnesota Senate race. It's now three months past the election and they still can't count all of the votes one at a time.

If these people can't count by ones, how on earth are they ever going to be able to balance a checkbook? Oh yeah, they've proven they can't when they lost $78 Billion in the first TARP.

Good luck with your Socialism. Maybe this crowd that you've chosen is able to make socialism work. But some of the greatest attempts in history have been made with socialism and each one of them has failed. It's a real stretch to believe that Obama, who can't choose a cabinet without screwing up and nominating four tax cheats and one with a grand jury problem, can actually make socialism work.

By the way, using Frank Rich and the New York Times opinion page as a source isn't credible. He's one of the flaming Socialist Democrats and the New York Times is running neck and neck with the Washington Post to be the most socialist press outlet in the country.

bluzie said...

This was simply Frank Rich's opinion that I happen to share.
You may not believe the New Deal stopped the Depression but most people do think that it put people back to work which allowed them to feed their children, pay their mortgages, and most of all spend!
My mom who will soon be 92 remembers the instant change when people began to work.
Over 600,000 lost their jobs just last month. People need help and they need it now.
You call it socialism I call it pragmatisim.
It is doing what needs to be done.
If you do nothing and watch families lose their homes and medical insurance, then our country will not be able to sustain itself.
I am more than just a little proud of President Barack Obama and the Democrats. We care about people, we realize when we all work together we can all achieve the American Dream.
I have never been more proud of my country than I am now. Sorry you do not share my sentiments, but you are welcome anytime to do so.

That’s rich: you accusing someone else of name-calling. Like I have said before, I give what I get.

You are correct, no House Republican voted for the conference report. That’s fine with me. The Americans people gave the Democrats a majority for a reason. The president reached out to them, but they want no part of a solution to the problems they caused. That’s fine too. The Republicans are the party of no: no to the solution, no to bipartisanship and no plan.

I have no idea about this 24 hour rule you are claiming, but even though your “facts” are suspect, I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and say it’s true. But this was a conference report, so your claim that no one had time to read it is disingenuous. All they needed to read are the differences agreed upon.

I don’t ever recall anyone ever saying it was the largest tax cut in history, and I know I never said it. But it is a tax cut for the middle class that really needs it instead of the rich. As for taxes increasing in 2010; says you.

I have no idea if it’s $1 Trillion or not. Nor do I care. We are in a crisis, and economists say we need to do something. I never heard you crying about the $3 trillion that will be spent in Iraq.

The CBO said nothing of the kind. A quick review of the nearly $355 billion in spending aimed at infrastructure indicated that less than half the amount would actually be spent in the next two years. That’s a far cry from your lame attempt at spinning of the myth that it will not stimulate the economy or create or save jobs. The fact is we don’t even know if we have hit bottom yet. I watched the talk shows on Sunday, and most of the economists say the plan is not big enough.

If you believe the economic numbers are getting better, fine, but this is the same party who refused to say the word recession in the face of all the evidence. “Rationed health care for the elderly?” Not true. There is not an ounce of truth to the lie about the mouse. It’s a lie, but that will not stop you from using that lie. The bill does not contain any language directing funds to San Francisco wetlands or the salt marsh harvest mouse in the San Francisco wetlands. The fact is mass transit creates jobs. I wish our congressional delegation would try to get the high speed rail planned for the Midwest here, but people like Miller and Rogers were too busy playing politics to help the state and country. Well, if you don’t think money spent on medical research is a good thing that’s again your problem. Its money well spent. I certainly like the tax breaks for buying new cars.

The last I heard the Senate Democrats had dropped the STD prevention from the bill, but I hope you are correct that it was added back. The proposal’s HIV-related funding was especially needed in communities where the economic recession has resulted in severe cutbacks in HIV testing and prevention programs.

First, there are no socialist Democrats. I don’t really care if this will put the Republicans in the wilderness for another 40 years or not. I want this to succeed because I want my grandchildren to have the kind of life I had.

I got news for you, the national debt was there when President Obama got the keys to the White House, as well as the worst recession since the Great Depression. Where were you when Bush squandered a budget surplus on an unnecessary war in Iraq? Good for Christopher Dodd. He may be under investigation, but not for “his role in the housing market failure.”

You can spin the housing mess anyway you want, but the American people know better. They proved that in November.

You can’t really be blaming this on actions back in 1978? How stupid do you think people are? It never, ever said “lending institutions were required to start lending to people that couldn't afford to pay the loans back.” That is another false Republican talking point that is a complete lie. It addressed redlining. People had to be eligible for a loan in all respects. You sure pulled those numbers out of your ass. Better yet, where did you get that talking point? Here we go again, blaming it on Clinton again. I sure wish he was President again, and I’m sure all those unemployed people do too. No one ever required an unqualified person get a loan.

George Bush and the Republicans created this mess. Spin it anyway you want, but the American people knew better.

You are accusing me of not looking at things objectively with that tale you just spun? Give me a break.

Communications guru said...

Wow, hate America sure has a lot to offer the debate. Hey, genius, the deficit and the recession were there when Obama took over, but it sure wasn’t there when Bush took over. Why weren’t you screaming about Bush’s $3 trillion unnecessary war, hate America?

Where did you get these false talking points?

Who is Barry?

You should read Krugman’s entire column instead of taking a self-serving quote out of context from a rightwing blog.
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/13/opinion/13krugman.html

He also said, “The stimulus bill looks helpful but inadequate, especially when combined with a disappointing plan for rescuing the banks. And the politics of the stimulus fight have made nonsense of Mr. Obama’s postpartisan dreams.”

Communications guru said...

I’m glad to hear this is a “provision out of Tom Daschles play book.” The rest of your rant is a false talking point. The bill gives the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology no duties to review actual treatments but only to establish standards for a technology infrastructure that would allow doctors to better guide their patients' treatments and to ensure that doctors are given the appropriate tools to establish a proper course of treatment.

Communications guru said...

Right-wingers have been trying to rewrite history about the New Deal for years. Your rant is just one more attempt. The U.S. did not come out of the Depression until 1939. A minority of economists may believe your tale, but it’s not true. FDR’s policies brought us out of it, and no matter how you spin it, people know better. Could you imagine how bad off this country would be without FDR programs like Social Security, the FDIC and Federal Housing Administration?

You “don't think the Socialist Democrats want us to come out of this economic problem?” Are you serous? First, there are no “socialist Democrats” Second; it was the GOP spokesman who said he wanted the President to fail.

This “one state recession” crap was just one more Republican talking point. Please tell me how the Governor was responsible for the Big 3’s loss of market share, and George Bush losing so many manufacturing jobs.

You are right, history is a funny thing, and that’s why you are working so hard to rewrite it.

You can call John McCain a lot of things, but liberal is not one of them. And Barack Obama is not a socialist.

The only voter fraud is from Republicans continued efforts to keep voter turnout down and disfranchise voters, especially minority voters. There is zero evidence of voter fraud in Minnesota; not matter how many times you keep repeating that lie.

You keep right on hammering that socialism bullshit just like the good little right-winger you are; the good news is only right-wingers are buying it.

Guru,
Dude can you ship some of these right wing trolls over to my blog? I missed the excitement of debunking right wingers. It seems Mr.Libs hate and Not anonymous have a problem with their memory there but it seems once Obama was elected the right had a massive case of selective memory. With this new problem of selective memory it also jacked up their understanding of history.

The amazing thing I find the latest right wing approach is that not only they dumped Bush off onto the sideline they act like they never been in power for the last eight years. Bush and the Republicans drove this country into a ditch and now since the guy in the oval office has a (D) after his name the Republicans now want to think about future generations of Americans when it was a mere 14 months ago the Republicans were charging the credit card and have the bill shipped to them. From the spending bills for their pet project, pissing away billion of dollars in Iraq and tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires.

And this fake outrage over pork which this bill has none and those projects these brain-dead right wing ass wipes are bitching about are not even in the fucking bill anymore. I can expect the fuck the poor attitude from the Hannitys and the Rushs of the right wing media because they're the ones sucking up the benefits of the top 2% while their half wit listeners like liberal hates and the other like him defend a lifestyle they will never experience. The only reason the average right winger hate social programs is because Rush, Hannity or whatever piece of right wing shit on WJR tell them that liberals support them, so that's good enough for most of them. If liberals hate toxic waste in the water then little bastards like liberals hate and the other right wing simpletons will support dumping waste in the water because Rush or Sean told them so.

Guru as for their screams of socialism, I bet you most of them didn't know socialism was a word until they found right wing talk radio or they barley heard about the word in junior high or high school. But the only good thing about the latest attack from the GOP and the right wing this line of attack are only firing up that minority of right wingers.

Little Johnny,

Congress controls the purse strings. I'm sure even Socialist Democrats know that. Apparently though, you also need a little math lesson. So I'm happy to help you.

14 months ago, was December 2007. Here's the problem with your comment about Republicans running up the credit card 14 months ago. The Democrats took over both houses of Congress in the election of 2006. They took office in January 2007. Since December follows January (note: January is at the beginning of the year and December is at the end of the year).

Your attempt at revisionist history fails when you can't do simple math. The credit cards were being used and signed by Socialist Democrats 14 months ago.

I do thank you for making several of my points for me.

Communications guru said...

The best I can offer you Johnny is to debunk them here. Personally, I couldn’t care less if they disappeared or commented every five minutes.

You are correct when you say “Mr.Libs hate and Not anonymous have a problem with their memory,” and they also want to rewrite history. According to them, George Bush was never President, and the Great Depression was a short bump in the road caused by the Democrats. They supported every bad Bush policy that plunged us into this recession, and now they want to throw him under the bus. Some want to claim the recession was Jimmy Carter’s fault. If that’s the case, why didn’t Saint Regain, GWWB or GWB fix it

Communications guru said...

My friend can answer for himself, but since this is my blog I will also debunk your rant too. First, his name is Johnny. Second, there are no socialist Democrats. You cannot honestly be claming the budget deficit was ran up by Democrats? This is just one more case of you trying to re-write history.

It’s funny, when Bush was, well at least when he was campaigning, he claimed he was ushering in an era of responsibility. Yet, he refuses - as do you - to take responsibility for anything. The federal budget is approved in September and runs from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30. The Democratically-controlled Congress did not approve a budget until September 2007. Are you seriously trying to claim that in just 15 months Democrats created the budget deficit and plunged us into a recession? Even if that lie was true; why didn’t Bush veto this deficit budget? Why didn’t the Senate Republicans filibuster? The Democrats didn’t have much of a majority, and they have never had a filibuster proof majority.

This has to be your most blatant attempt to rewrite history. Michael Steele will be a good RNC chair for you. He refuses to take responsibility for his illegal action, and he rewrites history.

Motor City Liberal Returns said...

Not anonymous,
There you go again, the Republicans supported every spending bill that Bush wanted. On top of those spending bills Bush wanted they also supported the tax cuts that also added to the national debt. Not anonymous the only group of people that believes this latest narrative coming from the RNC and the whores of the right wing media is you and the other twits like Libs hate.

As for the Democratic majority dude, dude the Democrats had what a three vote hold over the Republicans in the senate and that was in question because Joe Liberman sided with the Republicans when it came to the war. And not anonymous I wished when you guys go to liberal blogs or websites you don't think the liberals there are like you people who don't know what the hell is talking about.

But the latest talking point well it's the Democrats fault we're in the debt because they had the majority since 2007(sorry righties Dems won election in 06 but they didn't take over until 2007)doesn't make a lick of sense only to you bone heads that insist it's not Bush and the Republicans fault.

Again Not anonymous you have no point you just repeat things you hear from right wing radio and cut and paste from right wing blogs or website. Again you get caught repeating things that is wrong Not Anonymous before the Democrats won in the midterms of 2006 the Republicans had control since 2002. Before that midterm election in 2002 the GOP had the majority(a slim one before that guy jumped ship) so you had Republican control in 2000, 2001(until that senator jumped ship and it was even)back to having the majority in 2002, 2003,2004, 2005 and 2006 so you gave the slim Democratic majority a whole year to clean up the mess your party created?

This mess belongs to the Republicans and the Republicans alone.

CG said: You cannot honestly be claming the budget deficit was ran up by Democrats?

My response: Please show me where I said that the deficit was run up by Democrats? I don't believe that I've ever said that. The deficit has been run up by Congress. Not just Republicans, but Democrats and a couple of Independents as well. They all are at fault.

CG said: The federal budget is approved in September and runs from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30. The Democratically-controlled Congress did not approve a budget until September 2007. Are you seriously trying to claim that in just 15 months Democrats created the budget deficit and plunged us into a recession?

My response: Thank you for pointing out what I said. Little Johnny said 14 months ago, the Republicans...blah blah blah. You backed me up with this comment. The Budget went into effect October 1, 2007. Little Johnny said 14 months ago, which was December of 2007. Apparently, two of you need a math lesson. October is the tenth month of the year. December is the 12th month, ergo, December of 2007 was the Socialist Democrats baby.

Secondly, I didn't say that we were plunged into the recession by Democrats nor Republicans. Those are your words and you're making the argument for that. A pretty good argument for it, in fact, but it's still wrong.

I think it's funny that you make the argument for it being the Socialist Democrats fault for the recession, then try to lay blame at the feet of President Bush because he didn't veto the the budget, and at the feet of the Republicans because they didn't filibuster it. Very creative of you.

Little Johnny said:
There you go again, the Republicans supported every spending bill that Bush wanted. On top of those spending bills Bush wanted they also supported the tax cuts that also added to the national debt.

My Response: If you look back at anything that I've said about why the Republicans lost the 06 elections, you'll see that I've always said that the Republicans spent like Democrats and that's why they lost their seats. As for supporting tax cuts, you bet the Republicans supported the tax cuts. Those tax cuts caused unemployment to drop, put money back into the economy and created a thriving economy from 2002 through a good part of 2007. In addition, the tax cuts brought in record amounts of revenue to the Federal government each quarter. Notice, I said "record revenue". You can look that up fairly easily. If you again, look back at things I've said on here, you should see where I've said that tax cuts and spending cuts are what makes the economy move. We were lucky for five of those Bush years because there were no spending cuts. The economy grew on the back of the tax cuts alone. The spending increases only held the economy from hitting even greater prosperity.

By the way, my exact words from an earlier post here was: "The American people voted in the Democrats in 2006 because the Republicans had spent like Democrats and Bush didn't veto even one of their budgets. Too much spending did them in."

So really, if you're going to attribute things to me, you really ought to get them right.

Little Johnny said:
As for the Democratic majority dude, dude the Democrats had what a three vote hold over the Republicans in the senate and that was in question because Joe Liberman sided with the Republicans when it came to the war.

My Response: You think that because Lieberman voted with the Republicans on the war, that it automatically keeps him from voting with the Democrats on taxing and spending? I don't have to think that you guys are less intelligent. You prove it when you speak.

Little Johnny said:
But the latest talking point well it's the Democrats fault we're in the debt because they had the majority since 2007(sorry righties Dems won election in 06 but they didn't take over until 2007)doesn't make a lick of sense only to you bone heads that insist it's not Bush and the Republicans fault.

My response:
You're welcome to try and show where I said that it was the Democrats fault. But you're not going to find it dating back to 2007. They were in fact your words. Not mine. You said in your first post " The amazing thing I find the latest right wing approach is that not only they dumped Bush off onto the sideline they act like they never been in power for the last eight years. Bush and the Republicans drove this country into a ditch and now since the guy in the oval office has a (D) after his name the Republicans now want to think about future generations of Americans when it was a mere 14 months ago the Republicans were charging the credit card and have the bill shipped to them. From the spending bills for their pet project, pissing away billion of dollars in Iraq and tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires."

So while the two of you are whining that Republicans are blaming Democrats, it's you Little Johnny and you CG that are making the argument that it was the Socialist Democrats. Let me help you. It is February 16, 2009. Count back 14 months. CAn we agree that there are twelve months in a year? That takes us back to February 2008. 12+2=14. So we'll need to go back two more months from then. January would be one, and December 07 would be two. That brings us to 14 months ago. December 2007 which as we learned from CG that is three months after the Socialist Democrat Budget took effect on October 1, 2007 and admitted by both of you that President Bush didn't veto.

Good argument. Flawed, but good nonetheless. Thank you for your attempt to exonnerate the Republicans from what YOU blamed as the reason and timing for the recession.

In fact, the only one that is blaming it all on one party is the three socialist liberals on here that keep trying to lay it at the feet of the Republicans.

I'm not sure where you liberals get the idea that Republicans and Conservatives get their talking points from Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. You see, they are radio personalities. They are not elected to anything. Now I realize that Limbaugh and Hannity really bug the daylights out of you. Successful people are always on the hit parade for those that are unsuccessful. I think it's something like going after the king of the hill. But I really don't worry about it. Perhaps if you Socialist LIberals listened to others rather than just yourselves, you might actually learn something or at least learn to think for yourselves.

But don't get excited. I don't believe that socialist liberals over the age of 20 are desirous, let alone capable, of thinking for themselves. Probably too much time in government schools where they tell you what to think rather than how to think.

So let me repeat, just so you're clear. Limbaugh and Hannity are entertainers. In the case of Limbaugh he makes fun of socialist Democrats by playing their sound bytes back so that you can hear their words.

For example; Limbaugh played the words stated by Harry Reid when he said that we had lost the war in Iraq. Limbaugh played the tape of Maxine Waters saying that she wants to nationalize the oil companies. And my favorite, John Major (or whatever his name is), on the House floor in the 90's when he was talking about the slave trade and slaves being brought over on ships and how the sharks, even to this day swim the paths taken by the slave traders looking for the food that they used to count on from those slave traders.

With comments like this, played back by Limbaugh, it entices people to listen to Limbaugh to see what other nonsense the Socialist Democrats say on the Floor of the Senate, the Floor of the House and in committee hearings.

Happy Presidents Day

Communications guru said...

That is correct: the budget deficit was not run up by Democrats? OK, you’re going to play word games, fine. You said, “The Democrats took over both houses of Congress in the election of 2006. They took office in January 2007.” You were clearly implying the Democrats ran up the deficit in some 14-15 months. Not only untrue, but impossible.

First, his name is Johnny C, second. There are no socialist Democrats, and third; You were clearly implying the Democrats ran up the deficit in some 14-15 months. Not only untrue, but impossible. The Republicans and their polices certainly did plunge us into this recession they denied for about a year.

Heck of a job of spinning, but I never said the Democrats were responsible for the recession because they are not, and once again, there are no socialist Democrats. I just wonder: do Republicans ever take responsibility for anything? Time and time again they prove they can campaign and get elected, but they sure are incapable of governing. They hate government and government employees, but they will say anything and do anything to be the government. Unbelievable.

Once again, troll. My friend’s name is Johnny C, and you will have to take up what he said with him. However, he is correct. Sorry, Republicans never spent like Democrats. Tax cuts alone have never worked.

Where do we get the idea that “Republicans and Conservatives get their talking points from Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity?” That’s too easy: by reading. They are more than radio personalities and you know it, genius. Then why was limpdick a Bush campaign advisor? You are correct that they “bug the hell out of me,” as would any liar. I am a proud liberal, but I’m not a socialist. Hanity raised funds for Giuliani, but he never disclosed that when he conducted “exclusive” interviews with him. That makes them a little more than mere radio personalities.

“Government schools?” Get real jackass. I went to public school, and got a good education, like the majority of Americans. I have no idea where you went to school and allegedly got an education, but trying to follow your twisted logic tells me it was not a good one. I certainly can think for myself, and I don’t take talking points from a drug-addicted and Viagra addicted alleged radio host like you.

If these were on Limdick‘s show, he took them out of context.. Reid said he thought the war could not be won through military force, and he is 100 percent correct. I find it strange that anyone still believes we should have invaded Iraq in the first place. Just yesterday we lost another soldier by a roadside bomb in southern Iraq. That’s 4,245 so far. It’s not worth it in my book. Sorry, Rep. Waters suggested that perhaps the American oil industry should be nationalized at a congressional hearing with oil barons. I can’t help with John Major because I have no idea what the hell or who you’re talking about.

But this is the same Limbaugh that wants the country to fail, called any Iraq vet who disagrees with him a phony soldier, got kicked off the ESPN NFL coverage for his racist remarks, said slavery “had its merits:” and built the south, said James Earl Ray deserved the Medial of Honor and told an African American called to take the bone out of his nose.

That’s your hero where you get your marching orders.

Sad.

Boy not anonymous you do like writing long winded bull shit but hey if that makes you feel good and pleases lord Rush and mini god Hannity.. It seems anytime Guru debunks you, you come back with longer winded recycle talking points from the RNC or right wing talk radio. But that's ok because if I had to be on your side to defend the toxic turd Bush left Obama I would make shit up too.

Bush and the Republicans drove up the national debt in the trillions and now when there's a bill that benefit the middle class (which includes the chumps that listen to Rush) the Republicans all of the sudden care about debt spending.

Rush and people like play on their listeners hate and fear of other people.. Funny con talk show host claim that liberals play the victim when in turn the con talk show host make their listeners into the victims,by telling them people are out to destroy their way of life, liberals be little their values or heaven forbid liberals want you to tolerate gays and blacks . Let's not forget this gem, you should support tax cuts because you benefit too(look for the fine print)

People listening to a guy that made his house maid pick up drugs and wrong about 99% of the time proves that people like to be lie to.

You said:
You were clearly implying the Democrats ran up the deficit in some 14-15 months.

My Response:
Untrue. I didn't say 14-15 months. Little Johnny said it was 14 months ago. You'll find this in his post at 1:03 am.

You said:
Sorry, Republicans never spent like Democrats.

My response: You'll have to reconcile your words with this one for yourself. I have said repeatedly that the Republicans cost themselves the election by spending like Democrats from the time that Bush was elected in 2000 until 2006. You have said repeatedly that the recession is the Republicans fault. You should get your story straight rather than just disagreeing with me. I thought we actually agreed on that one. The only difference is that I don't blame just the Republicans. I blame the Socialist Democrats AND the Republicans for the recession.

You said:
Then why was limpdick a Bush campaign advisor?

First of all, Rush Limbaugh was never an advisor for President Bush. You'll have to prove that one for me to even come close to believing it. Second, I have no idea about the status of his appendage. You say it's limp. I've never checked it out. If you're focused on the mans pants, or in his pants, then I'll defer to your description of his status.

Name correction: It's Major Owens that said that the sharks were still swimming the old routes of the slave ships. I think I said John Major. My mistake. It's Representative Major Owens (Socialist Democrat) from New York.

Here's Harry Reid's quote: "I believe myself that the secretary of state, secretary of defense and - you have to make your own decisions as to what the president knows - (know) this war is lost and the surge is not accomplishing anything as indicated by the extreme violence in Iraq yesterday," said Reid, D-Nev. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18227928/

There were many places that had this story from April 2007, but I cited MSNBC because they are a Socialist Democrat media outlet as we all know from the Chris Matthews (chill running up his leg) and Keith Olberman debacle. I know that you don't accept anything but Socialist Democrat supporters.

Limbaugh did not say he hopes the country fails. He said he wants Obama to fail in his plan for the spending bill. He also didn't say all soldiers were phony, he said that about one caller that called in.

I have been unable to find any reference to "bone out of his nose" nor have I been able to find a reference to him saying James Earl Ray should get the "medial" (government education spelling?) of Honor.

As for Little Johnny, the more I see his words, the more I recognize Ka Dargo.

I realize that you need to have the last word all of the time and that you and I are never going to agree (even when we apparently do). But as was stated a few weeks ago, it's fun watching you lose control of yourself.

You may now once again take the last word and claim that you've debunked me again when all that read can see that you don't debunk anyone. You just jump up and down in your little play pen and throw your temper tantrum. It's fun to watch. Continue, please.

What? I use your own words, and you still deny it. You were clearly implying the Democrats ran up the deficit in some 14-15 months. Sorry, Republicans never spent like Democrats, and no matter how you try to spin it, your party is responsible for the recession. So much for the era of personal responsibility, ay Nonnymouse? I don't know who Little Johnny is.

Yes, Limdick was an unpaid advisor to the Bush Cheney campaign. I'm surprised you didn't know that since you are such a devoted follower.
http://www.buzzflash.com/analysis/04/09/images/14limbaugh_bush.jpg

You will also recall that in June 2007 "Limbaugh was detained for more than three hours Monday at the airport after returning from a vacation in the Dominican Republic. Customs officials found the Viagra in his luggage but his name was not on the prescription."
http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/06/27/national/main1753947.shtml

That would give me a good guess he's a limdick, but it actually reflects his courage – or more accurately his lack of it - than anything else.

First, there are no socialist Democrats, and second I believe he is partially correct. Plus, I can't find the alleged quote anywhere, except on "free republic."

Sen. Reid was and is correct. MSNBC is a good source for anything, and it's not "socialist" nor are there socialist Democrats.

Limpick certainly did say he hopes the president and country fails. He called all Iraq vets who are against the war phony soldiers. You need to actually look for his racist quotes. There are a lot to choose from, like his "magic negro" song. Thanks for that pointing out that typo. If you want to play that game and point out typos, fine then I will too. No, I went to public school like the majority of Americans? Where did you go to school since you like to throw that in my face all the time? I guess in your narrow world, only the rich are allowed to receive an education, and that's why you call public schools "government schools."

For about the 20th time, his name is Johnny C. Are you that stupid, or do you think that's an insult? Second, you cannot honestly believe Johnny C and Ka Dargo are the same people? Hell, a while ago you were trying to claim Dargo and I were the same person.

They aren’t as dishonest as you and choose multiple screen names with, apparently, multiple email addresses. Dargo is from Livingston County like me, and Johnny C runs the blog Motor City liberal. You should check it out.
http://motorcityliberal.blogspot.com

I don't need the last word, but I will not let lies go unchecked. How is debunking you losing control? You came here in this thread, which you ignored, with this long-winded rant ending with, "You may now begin with your name-calling." It has been you that has, as usual, done the name-calling.

You can always go through with your threat of the past and stop posting so, according to you, you are the only one reading and commenting. See how upset I will be if you go away for good this time.

Not Anonymous said...

My threat of not posting? You're funny. I intended to end this conversation and wait for the next silly thing you write about. Alas, something occured to me so I'm adding one more here.

Your people won the last election. You should be happy. Yet, you and Little Johnny and Hussein (or all three of you as one) are so angry. You call others names that don't agree with you. You display your anger with your foul language which always comes out when you get angrier and angrier.

I said in my first post that I knew you didn't agree with me. I have no problem with people that don't agree with me. I just think you're wrong and it's sad that when you're proven wrong, you still won't see that you're wrong.

What was it your president said? Oh yes, he said he's going to go to others with an open hand rather than a clenched fist. Yet, you guys all have clenched fists, clenched teeth and pinched up faces red with anger. You guys are so angry and clenched up that you couldn't pull a pin out of your backside with pliers.

Be happy. You've got both Houses of Congress and the White House for the next two years. I'm happy and my side lost. Of course, I'm happy because I know that we'll see that socialism will fail over the next two years. I wonder, is your anger because you know that you're going to be proven wrong over the next two years?

That's a rhetorical question. I really don't need an answer. I already know the answer.

You all have a terrific Tuesday.

Motor City Liberal Returns said...

Not Anonymous,

I'm not angry at all, what is offensive about you and the bottom 25% is that you defended eight years of outrageous spending yet your guys on the Republicans side have the nerve to say with a straight face that they can't support the stimulus bill due to the spending that it will do.

Tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires no problem, bills that contain kick backs for their friends in corporate America that's ok and pissing away billions of dollars in a war started by choice but tax cuts to the middle class, money so states can actually take care of their business and projects that could lead Americans to work Republicans say hell no.

Dude you haven't prove anyone wrong you repeat Republican talking points in long winded form and call folks out their names. When I mention a mere 14 months ago when the Republicans were pretty much charging the credit card and sending the bill to the future generations they now all of the sudden care about you repeat the talking point the Dems were the ones doing the spending.

When it's not true and you echo the right wing talking about about the Democratic majority, all I said yes the Dems have a majority in 2007 but it's not like it is now where a Liberman switch would harm that majority making the senate at least 50-50.

And the idea you guys are going to wait a year to see results(which everyone probably know how you guys are going to rule even if things turned around) when you gave this Republican majority and George W. Bush year after year is a joke. Socialism I bet most of you guys on the right don't know what that word even means.

Not only did my people win the last election, the American people won the last election. I don't know how you get I'm angry. I answer insults with the same, and I don't let you get away with misinformation. If they makes me angry in your book, then so be it. Like I have also said before; I give what I get, so I am no angrier than you. Again, I have no idea who Little Johnny is. What name did I call you? You started with the name calling.

Yes, of coursed I don't agree with you, but you certainly have not proven me wrong; on anything. What my President said? I don't have a president, other than the President of the United States. Are you saying you are not a U.S. citizen? Once again, I am no angrier than you are.

The President tried to be bipartisan, but the Republicans refuse to be part of the solution. If you ask me, I say screw them. We don't need them, and all they did was create the mess. They also completely shut out Democrats like no other Congress did. Tom Delay even refused to talk with certain lobbyists if they did not contribute to Republicans or hired Republicans.

You bet I am happy we got both Houses of Congress and the White House, but the feeling is more one of relief. Of course socialism will fail, but there is no socialism here. It will be for more than two years. The only ideas the Republicans can offer is block and obstruct. They had the keys for eight years, and they drove the car in the ditch. Now, they want the keys back? I don't think so, Nonnymouse

I also can't speak for Johnny C or Dargo, but like most people, when attacked like you do, they attack back. If you can't handle a little blue language, go somewhere else. This is an adult site for adults. I will not censor. I let the attacks from you stand, so why would I censor anyone else?

You also have a happy Tuesday. I know I will because the President is signing the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 today.

My first post was at 11:55 pm. No name calling. In fact, that response was to Bluizy.

The first bit of name calling came from Little Johnny at 12:26 when he said "twits". No big deal. I'm not worried about name calling, in fact, I expect it here and I'm never disappointed.

At 4:40, you called me a jackass. So technically, you didn't start the name calling, Little Johnny did. However, you did begin with me before I called you a name. But I'm still looking to see if I ever called you a name.

Oops. There's another one at the same time. You called me a troll.

That's pretty good. So far in this thread, I see no name calling on my part yet several examples of it from you and Little Johnny as noted above.

Don't you just hate it that your past posts are still up there to prove you wrong yet again?

But really, it's okay. I understand your anger. Your president now owns this recession. He wanted the "stimulus" bill and he got it. Nobody read it, but he got it. He said we need this immediately for some immediate relief. So I will expect the unemployment rate to drop within three months. I will also expect to see bridges begin to get rebuilt with two months since spring is almost here. Of course, the economy should begin almost immediate gains.

It's not looking good however. Apparently, the stock market doesn't like Obama's bill. It's down nearly 300 points today.

Luckily, the free market system and capitalism is so strong that even he can't destroy that right away. But he now owns the economy.

Is that steam coming from your ears now too?

Your president did not try to be bi-partisan. What he did was show up for two meetings with Republicans. One in the House and one in the Senate. Showing up doesn't make you bi-partisan. The only thing he said was "we won". That's not bi-partisanship.

Oh, by the way, I am and have been Not Anonymous. One time I posted under another name and told you that I was posting under that other name to prove to you that anyone can create as many names as they choose regardless of what you do on here.

I know you like to think that one person was talking to himself all along, and nobody can convince you that your paranoia is just that.

I like yanking your chain on here, but I'm not so interested in yanking your chain that I'd actually talk to myself on here.

Your fixation on smoking, and the ability of the Socialist Democrats to ram things through without reading or comprehending what they're voting on, is fun to read. It's also fun to watch your paranoia come out.

As for this being an adult site where foul language is constantly used, if your vocabulary is so limited that you can't get beyond four letter words, you only show your lack of vocabulary rather than any form of civility or intelligence. Again, I expect no less from liberals.

As for your not censoring, you lost that argument a very long time ago. You have censored a couple of people here and admitted to it. Lies don't further your arguments.

No, your first post was not at 11:55 pm., nor was it in response to Bluizy, and you began the name-calling in that post when you said "You socialist liberals are like the monkeys." Once again, I am a liberal and dam proud of it, but I am not a socialist. Once again, you started the name-calling, and then complain when someone calls you a name. I don't mind being called names from the likes of people like you because I take it as a compliment. It's you that complains about name calling, but in the next sentence you engage in it.

Not Anonymous,

Again you're making things up and when Drudge or Newsmax put things in ALL CAPS!!! doesn't make it true. Obama spent more time talking to the Republicans in his first few days since being swore in as president than Bush did with the Democrats in his two terms. And the Republicans idea of bi-partisanship back in 2004 or 2005 was do what we want you to do or else.
And Bush barley got by Kerry in 2004 and the man thought he had a mandate, when Obama clearly destroyed McCain 3 months ago and had a clear cut mandate by the voters he still tries to include the Republicans. And if you see the quotes that been made by Republican "leadership" their plan is to B.S. whine and bitch until 2010 when they hope by then things are worst and people will be once again desperate in the get rich schemes the Republicans offer.

The reason I call you people on the right names because I hold you guys mostly responsible for been going on in this country in the last eight years. You condone what Bush did because he had a (R) after his name and you justify everything he did. As for Obama even Guru could tell you I wasn't a big Obama fan but as time went on I thought about it if I didn't vote for the man then I would be green lighting four more years of Bush era policies John McCain would continue to do.

You can lie all you want Not, the fact remains this mess is a Republican created.

I didn’t get the chance to finish debunking your false rant, not. You have never proved me wrong on a post ever, and you never will. I got news for you, not; he’s our president, unless you’re not a U.S. citizen. This is the second time I have said that, so I have to assume you are not. That amazes me when you consider how much Republicans hate non-citizens.

How the hell do you reach the ridiculous conclusion that our president “owns the recession?” It was there when he got in the White House, and your party’s policies created it. He not only wanted the stimulus bill, so do the American people. They wanted it then when he won a clear mandate, and they want it now. We see how badly your party wants it and the country to fail. We keep hearing debunked lies like there is money for STD prevention, money for a mouse in San Francisco and there is money for ACORN.

It took eight years for your party to drive the bus into the ditch, and you want our president to fix it in three months? It’s not going to happen. We have not even hit bottom yet. If your GOP leaders did not read the stimulus bill, then they need to be fired, because they had ample opportunity to read it. The bill has been around for some time, and what was approved was a conference report. All they needed to do was read the changes, have a staffer read the changes and brief them or have central staff read it and brief them.

Your right about capitalism; after all, this country survived eight years of the most incompetent president ever.

Our president most certainly did try to be bipartisan even when he didn’t have to, like my fried Johnny C said because he had a mandate. In eight years, Bush never went to Capitol Hill to meet with Democrats; ever.

You are” and have been Not Anonymous?” Are you serious? I have asked you time after time how I can tell one anonymous troll from another, and you have no answer. You were talking to yourself, that’s a fact.

You are correct though. I truly believed that if you registered with at unique screen name you could not hide or post as someone else. You were right, I was wrong. It never occurred to me that you could be that devious and deceitful. See, I’m a Democrat, and it never occurred to me to be that dishonest. You, of course, had no problem doing it. That speaks volumes. I still don’t know how you did it. I assume you have multiple email addresses. You sure are a Republican.

You certainly did talk to yourself to “yank my chain.”

I’m not fixated on smoking: it’s an important public health issue, and I am going to do everything I can to see a ban approved. There is no such thing as Socialist Democrats, no one rammed anything through and if they did not read it or they do not comprehend it they need to find a new job. I don’t see any paranoia on my part; just lies from you.

Yes, this is an adult site where an occasion an off color word is spoken. If you don’t like it, go elsewhere. Foul language is not constantly used here, and you know it. My “vocabulary is so limited that I can't get beyond four letter words?” Are you serious? I challenge you to count how many times I used the word fuck. It will be but a few.

“As for your not censoring, you lost that argument a very long time ago?” You are wrong again. I warned you repeatedly that if you continued to call me and other people “child molesters” I would delete your posts. You childishly continued to so, and I deleted your posts with those words. Again, I expect no less from Republicans.

I've been outed again...I'm Johnny C and I'm proud of it.

Or, have I not been outed and Johnny C is some dude I haven't met and don't know.

Or, maybe nonny-mouse is throwing up his usual bullshit because he has nothing of substance to say.

But, he does use a lot of words to say nothing...talk about diarrhea of the keyboard.

Communications guru said...

I have to agree with you on the point about "diarrhea of the keyboard," but he will accuse me of using foul language. Apparently, in his world he never hears adults talk.

Not Anonymous said...

Not much to say here that hasn't already been said because you're constantly repeating yourself as if saying it often enough makes it true.

I did like this comment of yours though:

"I don’t see any paranoia on my part; just lies from you."

You could only have improved on it by saying 'I'm not paranoid, everyone is out to get me.'

By the way, damn in the context you used is spelled "damn" not "dam". Unless you were talking about a water blockage. Government edgeukashun?

Oh, and as for President Bush not working with Democrats. You might want to look up the "no child left behind" act. You might find that was Bush and Kennedy's baby.

Oh, I've never been censored for calling anyone a child molestor. That was your petty argument with someone else. It was about the time that I started reading some of your garbage on here. I watched that with fascination as you claimed then you didn't censor, then you censored. It is funny though that you claim to have never censored but now you say "except when....".

You're not bright, but you are fun to watch when you start going ballistic. If you really want to shock me...well, never mind. It won't happen, so there's no sense in suggesting it.

Not Anonymous,

Boy you're using every talking point you memorize in the past eight years NCLB is the best thing you can remember? Bush and the Republicans played hardball with the Dems even Bill Frist threaten to use the nuclear option if the Democrats tried to filibuster any judge Bush wanted.

When the Dems even thought about having the debate on a issue all the Republicans screamed up and down vote but I guess you forgot those?

But I should remind myself there's a new bug going around making conservatives and Republicans forget about the last eight years when they were in charge of both branches of government.

Fighting things over with you about the last eight years is like fighting someone who thought Harrison Ford was not the star of those "Indiana Jones" movies. Bush and the Republicans ruined the country and you got Republicans who pretty much gave Bush whatever he wanted acting like they care about future generations when they didn't even care about them in 2000, 2001,2002,2003,2004,2005,2006,2007 and 2008. So it took the Republicans eight years to realize maybe it's not a good idea to spend and borrow no that's not right they still want tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires they just don't want working people to get those tax cuts.

Communications guru said...

I guess if you consider sticking to he truth repeating myself, then I am guilty. It's kind of hard to not repeat yourself when you keep sticking to these debunked talking points. It amazes me that no matter how many times something is debunked, like the ACORN lie, you keep repeating it. The only thing I can assume is that you think the American people are stupid and will not check the facts.

This bears repeating because it's true, "I don’t see any paranoia on my part; just lies from you."

Thanks for the usage pointer. Yes, I have a public education like the majority of Americans. I'm still waiting to hear where you went to school; but at least I can write a complete sentence.

Yes, Bush did not work with Democrats. Like everything else, he got what he wanted by promising something he did not deliver, or he deceived Congress to get it. "No Child Left Behind" should be called No Dime for Any Child because he did not fund it like he promised. Plus, Republicans controlled Congress when "NCLP" was approved.

Sorry, you did stoop to calling me and other people a child molestor (sic)." It certainly was you; unless you can tell me how to tell one anonymous troll from another. With your record of lying and deceit I will not take your word for anything. Did I not warn you repeatedly to stop the childish, false and disgusting accusations or the posts with those words would be deleted? Yet, like the spoiled child you were, you kept it up. If you read any garbage you must have been on you buddy brett's blog.

If I'm not bright that must make you an imbecile because I continue to out debate you. Maybe you're right; I'm not bright, but when I'm a better writer, I don't lie like you and I have the facts and the truth on my side, it's not hard to beat the likes of you.

I don't see how I have gone ballistic. You are the one that continues with the name calling, and in the same breath accuse other people of doing it. Since you continue to do it I have no problem doing it too.
