Democrats do not play politics with break in of Obama campaign office

The Detroit campaign office of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama was robbed over the weekend, and a campaign spokesman said personal electronics, including some mobile phones and a laptop, were taken.

My first thought, was aren’t they making this a campaign issue and using it as am excuse for a fundraiser like the Republicans do, but then I remembered that Democrats have more class and integrity.

You will recall that last month former Kent County GOP chair Dave Dishaw claimed a break in at their headquarters was the work of Democrats without an ounce of proof and the direct opposite of what local police were saying. .He even took it a step further by posting a letter on the web site saying, “We knew the Democrats would do anything to win, but we didn't expect this,” he said. The letter also asked for contributions of $100, $50 or $25.

As far as I know the case is still pending. It’s hard to get any follow up on minor incidents like this. But the good news is Dishaw is gone. Some three weeks after the break in, Dishaw resigned claiming “business obligations have made it impossible for him continue in the role,” according to the Grand Rapids Press.

Despite at lest one computer being stolen from the Obama office, there was no campaign material on it, but thieves did not know that. Still, I’m sure it will turn out this was a routine burglary with the thieves just looking for stuff to fence. But on the other hand, Watergate was a two-bit robbery. No, I don’t think Republicans are that stupid.

After reading this, I googled it to see what the papers said about this vandalization of Obama headquarters. I find nothing on it.

Without proof of a vandalization that is readily acceptable, my belieif right now is that this is a made up story. Perhaps you have some proof?

Wow. Not only can you not write well, but apparently using Google is difficult for you. Here’s a link. I can’t believe you have not heard about this. I saw it on the local Detroit TV news as well. So does this mean you will apologize for calling me a liar?

First, no. I will not apologize for calling you a liar because I didn't say that you were a liar. What I said was that "my belief" at that time was that it was a made up story and asked for a source to back up your statement. This is what happens when your cedibitlity is shot as you have managed to do on several occasions.

Second, your writing on this was incomplete. You completely ignored the line in the story that said wasn't believed to be political because an adjacent business was also vandalized.

That changes the dynamics from the Grand Rapids story of the Republican break in since there was no other breakin attributed to the same break in of the Republican office.

In your zeal to bring up watergate, and to try to vilify Republicans you ignored one very important fact and that is about the adjacent business.

Your sorry recount of the events made for some good fictional writing, but other than creating boogie men where none exist your comments on this were useless.

Have a great day!

You are a piece of work, among other things. It’s sad you are playing word games. You certainly called me a liar, and you continue to do so without one instance of a lie from me. I knew, of course, that you would never apologize, let alone admit you're wrong, despite being proved wrong numerous times, but I was a bit surprised you took the opportunity to make more baseless attacks. You are a sad person.

Wrong again, my writing is not incomplete. I said I do not believe the break in is politically motivated. The fact that another business was broken into proves nothing, anyway. The differences in the Grand Rapids break-in is, the police basically called the party chair a liar because there was not an ounce of proof a Democrat was involved. Second, the since departed sleaze bag used it to raise money.

There was no “zeal to bring up Watergate.” What fiction are you talking abut? Show me one word in that post that is fiction or not true. If my comments are useless, why, then, are you not only bothering to read it, but to comment on it?

"but then I remembered that Democrats have more class and integrity"

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME

Class and integrity in the same sentence that the word Democrat was used.

You sleigh me, that was a good laugh thank you for that.

The party that believe's lying to the court is not a big deal (Clinton)

running a homosexual prostition ring out of your apartment (Democrat congressmen Barny Frank) is ok

bringing prositutes into the White house (President JFK) is ok

selling the Lincoln Bedroom (Clinton) is ok

having the most adminisitration officials indicited and or convicted in history (Clinton)is ok

letting a poor girl drown while you run away with you dick folded under your legs (Teddy Kennedy) is fine

Letting your son screw the citizens of Neveda with shady deals (Democrat Harry Reid)

Have secret deals go to your husbands company (Democrat Senator Feinstein)

I will stop there, I believe I have made my point.

Plus I do not want you to wet your pants while you sit in the basement of your Moms home in your underwear.

That’s a deceptive name because you haven’t said anything that was not a lie. You must have a lot of time on your hands now that junior high school is out for the summer, genius. I “sleigh” you? When you get back to 7th grade in the fall, run that one by your English teacher.

Who said it was OK for President Clinton to lie? The fact is he never should have been asked some of the questions he was asked.

Barney Frank never ran a “homosexual prostition ring out his your apartment,” nor did he run a homosexual prostitution ring out of his apartment. No one brought “prositutes” into the White house? Or prostitutes into the White House.

The Clinton Lincoln bedroom charge is just one more unproven smear by the Clinton haters like you. This is from an AP article in 2004, “President Bush opened the White House and Camp David to dozens of overnight guests last year, including foreign dignitaries, family friends and at least nine of his biggest campaign fund-raisers, documents show.
Some guests spent a night in the Lincoln Bedroom, historic quarters that gained new fame in the Clinton administration amid allegations that Democrats rewarded major donors like Hollywood heavyweights Steven Spielberg and Barbra Streisand with accommodations there. “

The ax has not yet fell on the Bush crime family.

You only had to go back almost 40 years for dirt on Sen. Kennedy. Harry Red, never happened, nor your lie about Sen. Feinstein. The Democrats have a long way to equal the scandals of the Republicans. I won’t have to go back 40 years to point out the scandals of her grand oil party, and they are not baseless accusations like yours.

February 16, 2007: Major Republican donor Abdul Tawala Ibn Ali Alishtari, aka Michael Mixon, is indicted in federal court on charges of providing material support to terrorists. He was a donor to the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC).

March 5, 2007: Ethics complaint filed against Republican Senator Pete Domenici for his role in the Attorney Purge scandal.

March 6, 2007: I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney found guilty of obstruction of justice and perjury.

March 8, 2007: Republican former U.S. Congressman and Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich admits to extramarital affairs.

March 23, 2007: Former Deputy Interior Secretary J. Steven Griles, an oil and gas lobbyist who became an architect of George W. Bush's energy policies, pleads guilty to obstructing justice by lying to a Senate committee.

March 27, 2007: Ronald Reagan's budget director, David Stockman, "indicted on charges of defrauding investors and banks of $1.6 billion while chairman of Collins & Aikman Corp., an auto parts maker that collapsed days after he quit."

April 18, 2007: The FBI raids the home of Republican Congressman John Doolittle, investigating his ties to Jack Abramoff.

April 19, 2007: The FBI raids a business tied to the family of Republican Congressman Rick Renzi, as part of an investigation into his business dealings.

June 11, 2007: Republican Senator Larry Craig is arrested for lewd conduct in the men's bathroom of an airport.

July 16, 2007: Republican Senator David Vitter holds press conference acknowledging being on the D.C. Madam's list and past involvement with prostitutes.

July 24, 2007: Michael Flory, a 32, the former head of the Michigan Federation of Young Republicans pled guilty in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court in Ohio that he sexually abused a colleague during Young Republicans convention in the summer of 2006.

July 30, 2007: The FBI and IRS raid the home of Republican Senator Ted Stevens following investigations into Stevens' dealings with the corrupt VECO Corporation.

August 2, 2007: Bush administration senior adviser Karl Rove disregards a Congressional subpoena and refuses to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

I could go on, but I proved my point. By the way, is the “mom’s basement” BS a GOP talking point you use when someone kicks your ass in a debate? You better go ask a grown up for a better one, junior.

Clinton shouldn't have been asked? That's your excuse for him lying under oath, not to mention lying to the American people on National TV when he pointed his finger at us and said "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Monica Lewinsky".

Feinstein didn't happen? Harry Reid's son didn't happen?

Ok, if that's the perameters you want to use, then each one of those things you listed also didn't happen.

Sheesh. I knew you were out there, but I didn't have any idea that the foil hat was a permanent fixture.

Yes. Somehow, I don’t see that quite as bad as saying war is the last resort, when it was the only option you ever considered and were fitting intelligence to fit your goal. I don’t see where Harry Reid’s son did anything wrong. The only thing I can find is an accusation by rush limpdick that says his son benefited because of his dad’s power. His son happens to chairman of the Clark County, Nev., Commission and a former chairman of the Nevada State Democratic Party. If he’s guilty for being Reid’s son, then what do you think about W? He is a failed oilman who rode his family name to the White House.

There’s an accusation against Feinstein from some rightwing blogs, but nothing else. Now, you can go ahead and dispute the charges against each person I listed like I did for the ones you listed.
