This is a platform to comment on local, state and national politics and political news. A special area of interest is the role of corporate media in politics as we move closer and closer to one huge corporation owning all of the media outlets in the country and stifling all independent and critical voices. It will also focus on the absurd 30-plus year Nixonesque political strategy of the “liberal media” lie. This blog is on temporary hiatus because of my job and thin-skinned Republicans.

Coulter Quote of the Week: Some more classics from AC for CU
This week’s quote of the week from the queen of hate is just a couple of run-of-the-mill examples of how Coulter is going to earn her $30,000 and meet Cleary University’s mission of raising the bar of public discourse in the community.
The real news is how U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers tried to reward CU for their rightwing loyalty to the tune of $2.15 million in pork and earmarks. I guess it was hoped with pork like that those $30,000 payouts to right-wingers would not be a problem. But, without further ado, here is a few examples of the gems AC will give the Republican Party faithful at Cleary University’s Economic Club Speakers Luncheon Series in Howell this fall.
"Women like Pamela Harriman and Patricia Duff are basically Anna Nicole Smith from the waist down. Let's just call it for what it is. They're whores."---Salon.com 11/16/00
"Clinton is in love with the erect penis."---This Evening with Judith Regan, Fox News Channel 2/6/00
That’s your Ann: She’s all class.

I always thought Coulter's quote at CPAC in 2006 was illuminating:
"Post-9/11 our philosophy should be: Raghead talks tough? Raghead faces consequences.”
When challenged about the use of the term “raghead” by a young Middle Eastern man who asked her to “please, please, please, don’t say raghead,” Coulter responded “yeah, I made a few jokes at Muslims. They killed 3,000 Americans.”

A facetious question -- What is your guess about the number of times Ann Coulter runs her fingers through her hair in a five minute TV appearance. My guess is 30.
Good question Donna. If I could watch her on TV that long with out getting sick to my stomach I would count, but, alas, I can’t. The only people who can answer that question are the Republicans she speaks for.
