Coulter Quote of the Week: queen of hate makes political points with grief

Hatemonger and racist Ann Coulter’s hateful “Quote of the Week” took a brief hiatus last week because it was preempted by the Livingston County Daily Pres & Argus’ one-way Playboy interview of Coulter. But it’s back this week.

As the Oct. 1 date for the Republican Party mouthpiece to appear at Cleary University’s Economic Club Speakers Luncheon Series fast approaches, all we have really learned is that barring Coulter being arrested for cannibalism or for some other heinous crime she is jailed for Coulter will speak because ticket sales are brisk.

But, without further ado here are some Coulter gems that Cleary is paying $30,000 plus travel expenses to hear:

On Princess Diana's death: "Her children knew she's sleeping with all these men. That just seems to me, it's the definition of 'not a good mother.' ... Is everyone just saying here that it's okay to ostentatiously have premarital sex in front of your children?"..."[Diana is] an ordinary and pathetic and confessional - I've never had bulimia! I've never had an affair! I've never had a divorce! So I don't think she's better than I am."---MSNBC 9/12/97

“These broads are millionaires, lionized on TV and in articles about them, reveling in their status as celebrities and stalked by grief-arazzis. I've never seen people enjoying their husbands' deaths so much." From her book: Godless: The Church of Liberalism

That's the whole point! Coulter calls it as she sees it. How reprehensible it is to be intellectually honest in this age of political correctness and the "Let's not offend anyone" mentality. She should be an icon for strong assertive women everywhere. Better her than Hillary (It takes a Village) Clinton, or Nancy (Eye job) Pelosi.

What’s the “whole point?” If that’s the way she sees it then Coulter has some serious problems and issues with anger management, self-esteem, self-loathing and arrogance. Discrimination goes well beyond political correctness. Her hatemongering has nothing to do with her sex. She’s an icon all right; an icon for bigots all over the country to get behind.
I get you don’t like Hillary Clinton, even though she is a shining example of someone being an icon for strong, assertive women everywhere. I also get it you don’t like Pelosi, but being the first woman Speaker of the House makes her an ideal icon for strong, assertive women everywhere. I don’t get the put down of “eye job” Pelosi. The difference between Coulter, Clinton and Pelosi is the former made her reputation and “fame” by saying the most hateful, racist and outrageous things possible, and the latter two are known for leadership and trying to make the world a better place.

You have an odd view of reality, Mr. Guru. If making the world a better place is enacting socialist programs for all Americans, then I guess Clinton and Pelosi fit the bill. Maybe that is your idea of making this country a better place?!

The real difference between the three women is that one is not sucking at the public teat. She is earning her own money by her own talents. Contrast that with the power mad efforts of the other two and you'll see the crux behind the old biscuit, "Power Corrupts".

Pelosi was going to build a new government in her tenure as Speaker. She was going to have the most transparent government in history, in contrast to the evil empire of corruption run by the Republicans over the past few years. What does she did she do yesterday but say that we shouldn't call earmarks "earmarks" 'cause it makes the congresscritters look bad. Let's cal 'em somepin' else and that'll make the whole durn problem go away!

That's your idea of "leadership"???

I do think it it’s a better world by enacting socialist programs, like Social Security and Medicare that is allowing the Greatest Generation to retire and live out their lives in dignity. I’ll bet you a million dollars you know someone, more than likley a loved one, who has had a better life because of those “socialist programs.” Perhaps it’s your parents or grandparents that have had a better life because of the “socialist programs” you’re attacking me with. You are correct sir, Sen. Clinton and Rep. Pelosi do fit the bill, and Coulter does not. Yes, it is my idea of making this country a better place.

You can’t possibly believe Sen. Clinton and Rep. Pelosi are not earning their own money by their own talents? How much talent does it take to discriminate and call people you disagree with hateful names that’s Coulter’s sthick. Coulter has no talent, and what she does is not talent. How is what Sen. Clinton and Rep. Pelosi doing any different from any politician from the mayor of the city you live in to the President of the U.S.? How is that a “power mad effort?”

Pelosi is building a transparent government in history. We have nothing in the House like we had under the Republicans. I don’t give a crap what you call it, earmarks or whatever, but there is no way you can possibly say we in Michigan should send our tax dollars to Washington, D.C. and never get anything in return. It comes back in federal dollars for money for projects like widening of M-59 here in Livingsdton County or money for a new I-96 interchange. I want the money here. I don’t care what you cal it.
Yes, I do call that leadership.

So, let me get this straight. You support socialism, think bringing home earmarks through corrupt backroom political dealings is "leadership" and think that the hard-earned money sent in by forced taxation of people from Alaska and New Mexico should go to widening M-59, here. Right?
Yup! I guess I had you pegged all along.

How about using your Michigan tax dollars for the Bridge to Nowhere or the Big Dig? How did that strike you?

Would it be too crazy to expect the people who benefit from these public projects to...pay for them? A simple toll road would pay for any roadwork needed on our highways without counting on the federal government to pay it (while forcing us to comply with their ridiculous idea of .08 legal alcohol limits for DUI arrests). There's strings attached to that money, mister!

No, that’s completely wrong, but that was your intention. I guess I had you pegged it all along. I support programs like Social Security and Medicaid. If you want to call it socialism, fine. I see you ducked the bet. I have no idea how you reached the ridclious conclusion that I support “bringing home earmarks through corrupt backroom political dealings.”

“Forced taxation?” Taxes are the price we pay to live in a civilized society, and it’s an investment in our community, state and country. Talk about jumping to conclusions. Here’s one more from you. I never said anything about New Mexico, Alaska or any other state. They are using our tax dollars for the bridge to nowhere. Are you aware the bridge to nowhere is in a Republican district?

Who do you think federal tax dollars come from? A foreign country? A toll road is the most ridclious solution I have ever heard. I have no problem with the .08 legal alcohol limits for DUI arrests. If you’re going to drink, walk. How hard is it to comply with that?
