Teabggers want to shut the government down while trying to blame Democrats

U.S. House Republicans, egged on by their masters the teabggers, are refusing to comprise on the current budget and are angling for the first government shutdown in 15 years as of midnight tonight while trying to blame the Democrats for it.

Congressional leaders are negotiating around-the-clock negotiations, but clearly Republicans are not negotiating in good faith. Republicans are insistent in including pie-in-the-sky policy provisions in a budget agreement, known as riders that would strip funding for Planned Parenthood and neutering the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

There is little doubt Republicans want a government shutdown no matter who it hurts, and their masters, the small minority known as the teabaggers, are urging them not to compromise. Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., has repeatedly said “shut it down” while in the same breath trying to blame Democrats.

Pence and other rightwing Republicans spoke before a small rally of teabagges on Thursday where teabaggers were chanting “shut it down,” yet they are still going to try and blame Democrats for the shutdown.

Besides the ridiculous, unrealistic and harmful policy riders the Republicans want in a budget bill, it is less than 1 percent of the budget that is being haggled here. It’s as if they don’t really want to reach compromise.

That’s what you get when you put people in charge of something they hate. Compromise is what created this country, but Republicans refuse to do it. Actually, their masters, teabaggers, refuse to let them.

Socialist Democrats refused to pass the budget last year by October first and instead do a Continuing Resolution until after the election.

They lose badly in the election.

Republicans have worked on last years budget (actually this year through Oct 1) but Socialist Democrats refuse to accept it.

Republicans have passed a series of CR's to avoid a government shutdown over the past couple of months.

Republicans passed a one week CR yesterday and Obama is now promising to veto it (but he never does as he says, so we'll have to see) and that CR that was passed was passed on almost a complete party line vote.

With all of this, you want to try to blame Republicans for shutting down the Government.

To quote President Barack Hussein Obama during the bailout controversy, the health care takeover bill, and the excessive regulations he and his administraton has put into place, "we won the election". Well, the Republicans won the election this time and it's the Socialist Democrats obstructing what the people want which is to solve the debt problem, solve the deficit problem and get this country back on the right course.

I'm not shocked that that not is lying but here what the Repugs want to cut

And if the government shutdown it's going to be the fault of the tea bag klan and the Republicans.

Where's the lie in that statement?

" They lose badly in the election."

So you see Little Johnny, I have told zero lies. You may not like the cuts the Republicans have been trying to get and that's all well and good. But you lost the election. The PEOPLE chose the Republicans because Obama has spent our money, our kids money and our grandchildrens money. He has spent more than of the previous 43 Presidents, and now we find out that he's given GM to the Chinese as part of the deal for the bailouts. By the way, you can find that report in Motor Trend.

Lies? No. Everything I've said is true.

Dang, Not Anonymous you stole my thunder, thats cool though. Johnny Panties really belongs in the pee wee league here.

The BHO wanting to VETO the CR is why I told Commie guru yesterday thanks for shutting down the govt. The Dems will get the blame, and rightly deserved.

First, anonymous coward, there is no such thing as a Socialist Democrat. The Democrats held off passing a budget resolution last year because they were waiting for the recommendations of the bipartisan deficit reduction commission in December.

“They lost badly in the elections?” Gee, last time I checked, the party of the people still hold the WH and the Senate.

Again, genius, there is no such thing as a Socialist Democrat. Democrats were working on a budget, and they were willing to compromise; Republicans were not.

Really? “Republicans have passed a series of CR's to avoid a government shutdown over the past couple of months?” How is that possible when the Grand Oil Party only controls the House? They passed it by themselves?

President Barack Hussein Obama made it pretty clear he was not going to approve another CR unless a deal was in place and it would just be to give them the time to dot the I’s and cross the T.s. Tell the orange man to stop crying, get out of the tavern, off the golf course and stop kowtowing to the teabggers and do his job.

There was no health care takeover bill or excessive regulations, and Republicans won only one of two bodies in one of three branches of government. Again, genius, there is no such thing as a Socialist Democrat. It’s funny that now Republican are worried about the “deficit problem.” This country is back on the right course; out of the Bush recession.

I’m blaming the people responsible for shutting down the government, and that would be the idiots listening to the bigger idiots who were chanting “shut it down.”

Once again, anonymous coward, I am still waiting for you to back up your outrageous lie that we were “nearly shoulder to shoulder once.”

Once again, you drop to the level of name calling and don't deal with facts.

Here's a link for you on excessive regulations: http://www.usnews.com/news/washington-whispers/articles/2011/04/07/6-pages-of-obamacare-equals-429-pages-of-regulations

Six pages in Obamacare creates 429 pages of regulations. Nahh, there's no excessive regulation (I wonder if you Commie Guru and Little Johnny recognize sarcasm). Hmm, wonder if Little Johnny even knows what sarcasm is.

As for the rest of Commie Guru's post, well, after you get past the name calling, is just pure BS.

Communications guru said...

Who are you talking to, anonymous coward? I never dropped “to the level of name calling,” and everything I wrote is a fact.

So, in your world, something as complex and sweeping as health care insurance has to be short? Like I said, no excessive regulation

Again, show me where I allegedly called you a name, anonymous coward. BS? That’s what you do when you can’t debunk what I wrote.

Once again, anonymous coward, I am still waiting for you to back up your outrageous lie that we were “nearly shoulder to shoulder once.”

"Guru" used lightly, tell us oh great one, when was the last budget approved and put into place by the Democrats? What fiscal year was it? Please let us know, because if there was a budget in place right now, we wouldnt be at this point.

Communications guru said...

Are you serious?

brad said...

yes, when was the last budget put together by the house dems passed and approved and put into place?

its a simple concept

Communications guru said...

Fiscal Year 2010.

Your point?

Brad shouldn't you be eating Big Mac the world greatest burger flipper brings home? The Republicans are holding everything up based on something the government already doesn't do.

Anyone that's honest can see the 13 people that showed up last week in Washington were chanting for a government shutdown.

brad said...

"Guru" wrong, 2009 was the last budget they passed. Why else do you think there was this stand off?

Johnny C, probably only 13 because everyone else was at work not calling in sick to protest like your friends in Michigan and Wisconsin.

Govt wont let me eat a Big Mac anymore or have a kids happy meal for the kids, or if in Boston I cant buy sugar drinks on govt land but I can have hard alcohol at a Red Sox game.

Communications guru said...

Sorry, the 2010 budget that ended in October 2010, or the last budget. “Why else do you think there was this stand off?” Because Republicans can’t govern.

“Govt (sic) wont (sic) let me eat a Big Mac anymore?” That’s not true. I can go to any McDonalds’s in Howell, or Michigan, and buy one. Some city in another state is talking about the prize in a happy meal, but I don’t remember which one. You know what else, genius, you can’t buy beer on some public property, so why can’t a governing body choose not to sell harmful, sugar beverages on property they own? A private sports investment company owns the Red Sox and Fenway Park, so they can sell anything they have a license for at Fenway.

What exactly is your point?

http://www.gpoaccess.gov/usbudget/ there is a drop down box that lets you choose the year's budget you would like to see. Click 2010. Wait, you cant because there isnt one. Thanks Democrats. The 2012 Budget starts in Oct 2011, it has to be in place by then, at least the Constitution says so. But Democrats are currently wiping their asses with it.

Since there is no budget, and the house and senate have kept passing continuing resolutions, the Republicans have said enough is enough and a budget is needed. Since you didnt even know there isnt/wasnt a budget, you throw even more water on your nonarguments, you seem to be one of the most uninformed commentator/bloggers from the state of Michigan. Please I beg of you, show me the 2010 budget that was passed last year by the Democrats. Where is the link from some .gov website?

Also, the city of Boston just allowed the Red Sox to sell mixed drinks with sugar in it and more alcohol but are getting rid of all concessions that have sugary drinks on govt property including cafeterias. In SanFran home of your progressives, you cant get a Happy Meal, prob BigMac is next. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/11/02/san-francisco-happy-meal-ban-mcdonalds_n_777939.html

So what does it mean to be a Progressive? Have the govt control more parts of everyone's lives?

Communications guru said...

Like I said, the 2010 budget that ended in October 2010 was the last time the Legislature passed a budget without a CR. Really? “The Republicans have said enough is enough and a budget is needed?” When was that? If I’m so uninformed why is it you can never debunk anything?
http://www.gpoaccess.gov/usbudget/fy10/index.html

Good for the City of Boston. What exactly is your point? All liquor licenses are issued by the government, and the decision not to sell sugary drinks and mixed drinks have northing to do with each other. Tell me where they sell liquor on public property. Good for San Francisco. What exactly is your point?

Son of a Commie Guru, I meant 2011.

There is currently no budget for 2011 and that is why there was almost a Govt shutdown. The Dems had the triple crown last year and failed to pass a budget for FY 2011 Oct 2010-Sept 2011.

The 2011 United States federal budget is the United States federal budget to fund government operations for the fiscal year 2011, which is October 2010–September 2011. The budget is the subject of a spending request by President Barack Obama. The actual appropriations for Fiscal Year 2011 must be authorized by the full Congress before it can take effect. The budget did not pass by the September 30 deadline, and the government has been funded by a series of seven continuing resolutions continuing funding at or near 2010 levels.

It was widely anticipated that a government shutdown on April 8, 2011 was possible if a budget resolution or a seventh continuing resolution was not passed by that date, which would have caused the furlough of 800,000 out of 2 million civilian federal employeesHowever, a deal was reached with just hours remaining before the deadline, averting the shutdown. The deal included $38.5 billion in cuts from what had been budgeted for 2010, in addition to another $10 billion in cuts that had been imposed in some of the continuting resolutions. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_United_States_federal_budget

That link you showed me was the Presidents proposal, which does not a budget make. Thanks again for playing.

brad said...

come on, admit your mistake that there was no budget passed and tell us all what it means to you to be a progressive because you are all over the map. break it down simply for us all. its an easy request, thanks.
